I work with oil and acrylics on canvas and glass, write poetry/op-ed pieces, shoot urban and rural photography, and design jewelry. I began exhibiting quasi-surreal oil paintings in South Florida in 1995 and continued to paint and shoot black/white photography - and develop it in my own lab - until 2000 when I moved to Chicago. I completed ONLY 2 oil paintings between 2000 and 2002. After that, I started teaching. Only a hand full of incomplete acrylics were started while I taught. Jump ahead 8 years. I am editing most of my old work, painting bottles and creating choker necklaces and wine charms using Lake Michigan fossils, stones and glass remnants that I found during walks last summer.
